I have been fishing the east end of Long Island for 24 years. During my time on the water I have fished recreationally for all types of species. In my early years of angling I have spent many hours on the dock fishing for flounder or anything that would take my bait. I moved on as I grew older to harassing the local fishermen to take me on board their boats so I could learn how to fish for tuna and shark.
As I started to develop a more sensitive approach to the water, I took up fly-fishing. In my mid twenties I started to travel around mainly Central America looking for more angling opportunities. In the last seven years I have been taking people to my favorite fishing locations and sharing my love of fishing with those who appreciate the whole experience.
I have had many opportunities to fish with some of the best in the business and each time I take these people to my home waters, I feel a sense of pride to have such an incredible fishery in my back yard.
As a member of the Costal Conservation Association and the PFLGA, I stress the essential need for the conservation of our marine environment and the need to educate our children in this matter.
